Consistency is the key for Berlin producer-vocalist JATA it seems. Having already put out one of the strongest electronic EPs of the year in, EP1, he's continued to add to that body of work with tracks from followup record, EP2, flowing thick and fast of late. The standard never seems to drop, though, and new cut 'Apocalypse' is no exception. There's a certain pop flavour to this one, which hasn't necessarily shone through in JATA's work before now, with sleek choruses swirling into pulsing beats and expansive synths which drip with his trademark shimmering pulse. Keep an eye out for the Berliner's full release early next month, it's a total gem. - DC
